It is called RSI, Repetitive strain injury. Do you have a good gel filled wrist pad for your mouse hand? if not get one. Also invest in an ergonomic mouse.
I know this is going to sound stupid but I thought I'd ask you guys since many of you seem to spend a lot of time on your computers as I do.
Have any of you ever experienced discomfort in your hands, wrists, etc., that may be linked to how much time you spend on your computer? The only reason I ask is that my right wrist has been a mess since middle last week and I actually took 3 or 4 days off my computer in hopes that it would improve, which it has. It may be completely unrelated to using my PC as much as I do which is why I'm asking the question here.
Thanks.

Actually I have none of the above but I guess I'll look into it, thanks OWG.
You are right OWG I have aquire from some time a gel filled mouse pad, and also an ergonomic keyboard. From that moment my hands are much relaxed.
Ovi
I got a, "geller", but I never felt comfortable with it. I also got one of those trackball mouses, and that didn't work either.
Duke, frequent masterbation DOES NOT help.
LOL

Another thing that OWG didn't include in the solution is taking regular rest. This is also recommended for RSI
And BEER, lots of itAt least that is what I tell the wife.
I do lift my hand and excercise constantly. I just lift it and twist it around a little, one way or the ther. I find that helps a lot.
Dam I thought that would strenghten the muscles enough to not give me troubles.Originally Posted by Paul_KY

I'm betting Paul has a joke he's dying to use in response to this.
I shall refrain.
