It may have been a "weak" captcha. The ones that use normal numbers or letters that have no static or blurryness added to them often don't work so well. There is bot software capable of reading normal text even on images. Thats why people started adding the blurryness or distortion to captchas. I do agree some go too far and are hard to read sometimes. I like recaptcha because of the built in audio for those that can't read it so well.

Yeah I agree with you. In other forum, they banned suspicious spammers and I think that is not a good idea. They just suspect but not looking forward fto the quality of the post..

The solution would be to find a stronger captcha. I would say the strongest captcha I've used is reCAPTCHA
