Default fixing the scrollbar in firefox

I would like to know if it is possible to make the users scrollbar in firefox stay there even if its not needed as everytime it appears my site layout breaks and my navigation moves to the left.

I would rather not do this fixing the width/height of any elements although it sems I may have too

You kinda got that back to front do you not? If the site breaks in Firefox, then you need to change the site, not the browser

Do you have a DTD and does your code validate.
If the answer to both is yes then a standards compliant browser such as Firefox will display correctly.
I suspect (but may be wrong) your code will not fully validate because of "Proprietry Code".

    Check here:

Woa. No you dont understand. its just that when the page flows further than the edge of the scree a scrollbar appears. It moves my content as its all set with positioning and margins. It has nothing to do with standards. It doesnt matter now i resorted to seting the height of my body to 101%
