How fast is Google index this days?

I blogged and article about a payment system called voice pay yesterday. I did a search for that article and my blog is on on page for that search term, any explanation for that? I think it unbelivably quick for my site to respond to that search time in less than 24 hours.

Google now has a specialist bot for blogs, and as it uses proxy caching it means that the main index is supplemented by various other spidered pages.

Thanks for that explanation James, I suspected a technology like that must be at play as the dedicated page for that blog is not in Google result just yet, its only the index page its picked up so far

Check your webstats package, you should see the blog bot from google going there.

This may qualify me as one of the worst webmasters in the world; I never check my stat pages, maybe because I have too many sites but I really should as this is one of the best ways to analyse traffic and see which of you keywords is working and which isn't
