is a blog treated any differently in google?
i have an expired domain i bought last year
i loaded wordpress 2 onto it, uploaded a template, added a few free articles and a few unique ones i paid for
this was about 6months ago and im still not ranked in google even though i got a pr3 last update
i signed up for google and it says i have no pages indexed
ive about 71inbound links
does anyone know why im still not indexed?
blogs still appear and are treated the same in google yea?

Two questions come to mind:
1. do you know the history of this domains? Has it ever been banned before?
2. The inbound links, where are the coming from? Quality sites that are also listed in Google?
3. Does the site respond to its name when you type in Google ?

1. i dont know if it has been banned before no
2. inbound links are mainly from directory submissions but some hits from blog search engines etc
3. i cant get anything on the site in google apart from links showing my url
googlebot is crawling the site ok
i have submitted a sitemap also
i dont get it

well if you url is being show it means the site has not been banned, if its banned even the url will not show.
Perhaps its a question of pointing some quality links to it and also adding some unique contents to the site to make it worth wile for search engines to rank it higher than it ranks at present.

ive done both
i have other sites with the same kinda backlinks and pages are indexed no problem

Do not have a clue what the problem could be. Try an look for things that you sites that are doing fine have that the one that is not doing fine does not or vice versa. That should help point you to what could be wrong with the site that is not doing well.

I have watched Mattcut's vedio , where he answered the question whether blog is treated specially. He said no. Blog is tread as other sites.
