    Wink SEO and the other SEARCH ENGINES!

    Hi ALL,

    at the moment, I am only optimising for Google, MSN and Yahoo. what other search engines do you optimise for ? and where do you get the relevant information for each? also are there specific ones for USA that you would recommend?

    K,
    I think you are already focusing on the important engines, outside of those three not other engine worth bothering about, most smaller engines have algo similar to the top three you seem to be targeting already.

    There are many specialised directories that you can submit to. But as far as Search Engines goes, those are the only 3. That said, one or two of the UK ISP's use a slightly different yahoo index. Fast and Inktomi etc.

    Ask uses the teoma index, and the best algorithm ever invented IMO

    Teoma is very hard to game. I know they do some hand editing. They MUST.

    It makes up around 3-5% of my traffic. It's good traffic, though.
