I have been wondering about this for ages, but simply don't have time to do any research so I was really pleased when I stumbled across Neo's blog where he is discussing the subject and promising to do some experiments.

I personally don't think it has any impact on rankings but I do think it has an impact on your site over all such as conversion rates and the quality of content.

I could be wrong.

I don't know either, but hopefully they will tell us. I'll watch the post and report back. Google have the technology to do this and they do it with Adsense for sure.
