Beating Google ageing algo

I recently read an SEO article offer tips on how to beat Google's site ageing algo, I seem to have managed to do that without deliberate though. I registered and hosted a domain for a new project a few months ago, I was not able to start the project until now, in the interim the site is now PR4 and its already generating some traffic, I just need to apply the accelerator in the form of link building to get the traffic up.

This seem to be the most effective way of squaring up to Google site/link ageing.
