I'm also interested in this signature exchange, that is if you all still have room for me.

Does anyone have any evidence of a MAJOR, LONG TERM revenue bounce due to these so called, "Siggy Exchanges"?

Not bashing here, just trying to point out the obvious. My hopes are that OWG or Smeagain would chime in.

Ok, so everyone sees the writing (on my wall), but I'll share a secret or two if someone can show a direct, concrete and long lasting, long term benifit to siggy exchanges.

No offense to those participate in that vile behaviour, but it all sounds, "gay" to me.

JMHO

Peace

I can't say anything in regards to revenue but for myself I wouldn't have found a couple of my favorite websites had it not been for a sig link of someone I came to know on a popular webforum. I don't do it to generate thousands of dollars, I do it because those who know me and respect me as a member of various forums may also take the opportunity to visit the links I've added. In a sense, I'm selling the site as a good place to visit by being a respectable member and providing helpful and friendly posts, hopefully this will in turn generate a click.

What I'd ask you in return is, if the glass IS half full what would you do instead? How should a newb such as myself proceed in place of "gay" sigs? No offence taken but I'd prefer to hear one of your secrets and learn something, then get a verbal spanking when I know nothing and am at least trying something. No disrespect of course!

I wouldn't mind if somone chimed in here as well. The problem with this exchange is that many sites don't have long signature limits so two or three url's may be allowed and that's it.

Sorry for the double post, but if we're to continue with the sig exchanges, we should only link to the sites main page as that's usually the shortest url.

Paul,
Signature exchange is just like any other form of promoting site promotion, people who are interested in what is in your signature click it, if they are happy with what the see on your site they buy or join your forum or something like that. I have recruited a few members to my forum via signature link on my profile in other forums, Its not and SEO tool
