Text Link Ads Inc rejected my site!

We are sorry but the inventory you have suggested <url removed OWG> has been declined at this time. The main reasons inventory is declined is:

-The website does not have enough link popularity.
I have links from DMOZ, and the BBC to name two, the site has MASSES of links pointing to it.


-The website does not have enough traffic.
It gets up to 1.5 million page impressions a month! and has an alexa rank of about 40,000 which is not bad really.


-The website is currently selling text link ads.
WTF are they talking about? There are 3 links in the footer area that link to my own sites. !


Now this is nuts, has anyone else here dealt with these cowboys, or have a better suggestion for text link brokers where I can sell some real estate on my sites?

I think they mainly sell Page Rank rather thank traffic, the site seem to have PR3, I think that is the main reason it was not accepted. I used to buy links from them, PR is usually what they base their prices on, this is also true of other link brokers.
I think you should just decide the number or links you want to sell on your site, create a subscription and let advertisers subscribe. That is what I have done with the sites I sell links on and its works quite well.

Once you decide the price and create the subscription page let me know, I will give you some promotion from 3 of my sites which should help get the subscription going.

Thanks for the Offer Temi, but I willl not bother. The site is not there to make money, and the income would have gone into buying rugby kits for kids who need them.

I will not bother as it is too much hassle for a fun site.

I wonder what would have been their response had I submitted my PR8 sites then <not that I would sell ads on them as these sites are very private and unconnected to my other sites.>

The response would have been yes please if you had offered link on your PR8 site and it would be on their inventory in the next few hours. I know lots of SEO people are always saying PR does not matter etc etc but that is your evidence that it does.

But don't people realise that they are being amazingly short term? In a very short time Trust rank will kick in and the PR8 sites that are selling links will be TR zero. Their links will be worthless.

The next big step will be 'Block Level Link Analysis' and this will further devalue links.

You place your finger on it OWG, why worry about tomorrow when you can live for today and make money of PR while its still there
