Have you thought of setting up a little popup that prompts new members to introduce themselves when they first login?

We solve this issue with a welcoming private message that direct the newbies to the introduction spot with an URL. 85% use it.

I think we already have this in our private PM, if its now there I will add it. I like installing minimum possible mod on vB.

You will be suprised people do, some even respond and say thank you to me. But as high as at bagi's forum, I will say about 20-30% at this forum.
