Why do some topics get closed with no reason?

For example, this thread - Google PageRank 10 Websites List (Updated April 2008)

I don't see any reason why it should be locked.. but someone seems to have done so.

Thanks for pointing that out, I closed it, perhaps a bit too early, it was because of silly spammer spamming it, but I think I should have just dealt with the spammer...... its now opened.
