Is google adsense a viable revenue model

There is hardly a site nowadays which is devoid of Google Adsense . Given that average net users are becoming more aware of real content and google ads - do you think that google adsense can be a viable revenue model for your site ? What are your experiences on this ?

Only content sites, Internet MSG boards or idiots run Google Adsense ads on their sites.

Again, content sites are content (They get rev through googeyyyy adsense, which won't be around much longer, plus they aren't making much anyway), and Internet MSG boards have better content (Real folks, posting, but the webmaster needs to pay a bill or two) And hey, what's wrong with an extra dime or two after expenses?

Idiots = You have a site, set up to sell your product/sign up to YOUR opt-in list, and YOU, the F'ing idiot, let the visitor go for what? 8 cents? 50 cents? 10 cents? Idiots...

A good, noble, opt-in member is worth, at least, $5. Spend $1 to get 'em, you've 5 timed your money.

Sorry Paul, I mistakenly misread your post and just lumped my site into what you were saying, my bad.

Content sites are really all I'm interested in running to be perfectly honest.

Then adsense and the likes are good for you, then. Again, sometimes I have to realize not everyone is a capitolist pig, like myself. LOL

I'd like to be but I'm very cautious in nature when it comes to my sites. Maybe it's a character flaw.

Google adsense like most innovative things always lose their shine eventually. But like you pointed out people are more aware now and adsense ads is jut 'part of the furniture' hence people do not click it like they used to
