Hi everyone,

How long does it takes after the domain expires from a previous owner, assuming that there are no backorders or otherwise ownership of the domain after expiration, can the domain be purchased.

you can 'preorder' it assuming the owner doesnt renew it and as soon as its available it'll be registered to you.

I don't think there is a standard policy. In most cases you need to find out who domain is registered with and read theirs policy.

There are some sites that let you buy expiring domains no matter who is the registrar but you can expect to pay much more since they will be handling all aspects of obtaining and transferring domain to you
