Domain Registrar Market Shares
Just been looking at the most up to date market share stats of domain
registrars, I was quite shocked to see how far ahead the domain registrar market leader was ahead of even second position.
As you can see by the chart above godaddy is just exploding & seems like it is not going to stop any time soon.
Looking at the fastest growing domains over this past month they defiantly do hold the upper han d.
Go Daddy Software 22,036,691 22,496,195 459,504
1&1 Internet AG 371,659 587,533 215,874

I am very surprised 1and1 is so far behind considering they are one of the largest companies and offer probably the cheapest retail prices for domain registrations...

Yup 1 and 1 customer service seems to be pretty poor. I had a couple of queries when I was going to purchase a service from them a week or so ago. The representative that replied didn't seem to have a clue and wasn't helpful at all. Thankfully I realised this before my purchase

No wonder GD is #1. They are the most aggressive in media marketing, trying to reach out to end users. Remember their Super Bowl ads?
