Default UK Domain name - Transfer online

It looks like Nominet is finally doing away with the silly cumbersome paper based domain transfer that cost £25+VAT just to transfer a domain from one person to another.

The information they released below says it all:

The process to transfer a domain name between parties has been developed
in online services to provide an efficient, paper free solution. The new
registrant transfer process in online services will replace the current
paper based system on 25 June 2008.

I got an email from them about that. About time!! the paper work is a pain in the ass. Especially when doing multiple domain transfers.

That is some of the best news I've heard this year.
This will definately make it easier.
Have to admit though - we recently transfered a domain and the fee paid was £10 + vat - not £25!

EDIT: Just checked out their site at their domain transfer page and the £10.00 fee is still required!
