Similar to the guy who registered uk.co - apparently lot of people make this mistake
I heard someone with "the man who owns the internet" fame, has aquired the entire .cm TLD. so whoever types a domain with a .cm at the end, it goes to that guys website and he earns revenue! I wonder how is it done? I have tried to do a lot of searches in google, but couldnt work it out.
Is it really possible to own a whole TLD ?

Hey, this is the guy i was referring to. He owns millions of domains!!
It's not TLD as it's ccTLD. However it's still possible if the country are willing to rent or sale they cctld to u.
I think with enough money you could buy just about anything![]()
