Are casino links killing or helping web directories?

I notice lately that most bidding directory are usually dominated by casino links (I am not criticizing any one, I have exactly the same thing at my Bidding sites).

But when I visit other people's directory to submit my hosting site or my forum and see if full of casino links I just abort and go elsewhere.

In another thread, someone said since Google started targeting directories, his submission has dried up, only gambling sites are submitting their site this day.

This prompts this poll, do you think gambling link are the Saviour of directories or they are killing it?

Well Google never said that Casino type links were bad that I know of but I know that alot of Casinos have re-directs to some Icky Sex Spam and other schemes!

I have several casino sites on my BFP sites which usually pay rather well for their advertising and so far I am getting stronger and stronger ,through the last update especially!!

Have a good look at the pages! The Blog is doing well that I placed in it just 3 months ago as well!

I agree with you that Casino pays quite well, its just that when all my bid for position directory top links was taken over by casino links, I did not like it, found a way of getting rid of about 3 of them from the homepage.... if you are not an experienced webmaster,if you go to a bid for position directory that only has Casino sites on the index page and you were thinking of adding say a gardening website... you may think the site is all about casinos so you just go elsewhere

I allow casino links on my directories but what I do is to indirectly discourage such sites from being submitted. Therefore you will find only a few of such sites on my directories. I am thinking of removing them anyway soon, I do not think it is healthy for the directory to be overflooded with casino links.

I don't know why several people label these sites as dirty!

Gambling is very legal in most places and I personally play a few hands of cards from time to time, but not online! People are perfectly welcome to do it if they would like!

We've had a few submissions come from gambling sites to our UK Directory. All have been from the same group. This fella has a load of high PR gambling related websites.

Guess they have money to burn at will.

Are they killing directories - it's difficult to say at present because of all the mess that happened recently with Google and the fear it created.

We've not yet had the problem where gambling sites are dominating our bidding directories but would preferably like to steer clear of this happening.
