Bid directory lack of review mechanism

One of the thinks I dislike about other bid for position directory (apart from mine is the fact that sites are added instantly without any editorial reviews.
I think this weekens the directory as people add really crappy sites you would have rejected and a proper directory.

This is true but as a webmaster you could remove sites you dissaprove of later, yes its more work but worth it perhaps?

As a submitter its a great feeling to get an instantly published link.

The script was coded that way. So far I have not gotten any bad submissions for my bid directory but I will remove any if such links appear. And as mrcrowley said, seeing your link appearing instantly gives you a sense of euphoria that makes you come back and add more to your bid

I am not sure I agree with that, its much better to review, approve and include links than accept and publish and then remove later.

I do NOT like the fact that you can just go in without moderation!!! I DO like the phpLB scripts though but I do reject the crap!!
