Apart from the obvious like PR, the appearance of a directory etc, what else do you look for when buying links from a web directory especially advert links that needs to be prepaid for months ahead.

I generally look at the PR, and or the amount of links, that generally gives an idea into the future PR.
Design doesn't play a big factor for myself, as some of us aren't graphical artists, so I haven't yet deviated from the standard template on my Bid Directory.
