How and where you make money is not what matters. Personally I plan to the minute which are my money making times, and which are fun/altruistic times.
The way I look at it, the money I make allows me to do other things. Sure I could take on a lot more work, and maybe make £3-5 k a week, but for what? I have been there and done that, and it made me a horrible person, who cared for no -one.
Now I am chilled, I take on the jobs I want to take on, and do pretty much what I want. over the next couple of months, I will work very hard for a period of 8-12 weeks when I am launching a few new sites. These sites will make money on a regular basis, which will alllow me more time to do what I enjoy doing.
Funny old life, funny old web lol

To use Abraham Maslow hierarchy of needs theory, OWG you are pretty high on the Maslow Hierachy theory, I am still pretty low, though I make enough money to meet my basic needs but the memory of the lean times I went though in the past still haunts me which drives me to work harder and harder but I am learning to be chill this days but not completely chilled yet.
One day when I have a comfortable bank balance and preferably a mortgage free house I will be more chilled

Right
Right, the memory of the old times that I have lived, it makes me do all my best to earn enough money to live confotable, to have a house, and a nice banck account, and for this I work hard, many many hour/day etc.

You can never love too much lol.
I used to get to the office by 7am, and would regularly get home at least twice a week at about 2 am. I have seen me work until 2 am, go to bed, get up at 4am, then drive 4 and a half hours, spend a day training my sales team, then drive another 4 and a half hours home. I was making a mountain, but for what?
There come a point when I said no, sold the business, and worked out how much I wanted to earn to acomplish everything we wanted. I then set about a plan on how to earn that. I take my daughter to school every day (she is 5) I pick her up from school every day with my wife. I have never missed aschool concert or parents meeting etc. Sure I could earn a lot more, by taking on some people to cope with the work I currently turn away, but then what?
I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but I want for nothing, my family want for nothing, and boy are we happy
Often times we get on the treadmill and just set goals like I want a million pound business. I have had a business that was turning over £30,000 a week, and was netting a fair % profit, it was hell, and cost me a marriage. The trick in life is to plan how much you want to earn, and set it as a ceiling. If too much work comes in, turn it down, it hurts the first few times, but after a while it gets easier.
