Default Directory Submission Tools

Hi everybody

Recently, I've migrated to semi-automatic directory submission tools for a bit of my SEO work. I mainly use them as a tool to fill in particulars which won't change (such as e-mail address and keywords) and to track submissions. I don't use it as spam, just so I've got more hours in the day

However, the one which I do use (Directory Submitter), has either a bug or it's a "feature" - whereby whenever you quit the tool it deletes all the directories you added to the list, returning to the default lists.

Anybody know of a tool which does similar. I'd like one that does the following:

- Ability to add your own directories.
- Rotate titles and descriptions.
- Ability to log submissions.

Preferably free. I've downloaded a few of them that offer trials, but none of them have convinced me to buy them as their look is limiting (such as digiXMAS submitter).

Anybody got any suggestions?

Hi Resonate.

Yes, that was the one I was referring to in the post with the wierd bug/feature. If it didn't have that bug, I would purchase it as I'd like to push my own directories on it, rather than a directory list that's about a year out of date (I did try submitting them to those directories, and I got so many errors and not much return )

I quite agree. I want to not use the directory lists given by the software, prefer to use my own list. I want to just save some time submitting by targetting specific keywords and record my submissions.

Same goes with me. I also prefer manual submission because you can have more control in submitting your site to directories. Although it really takes time for its approval, it is still worth it because it's free of charge and I find it really better compared to automatic submission.

I think the problem you are experiencing is that ou are using a free version not a paid for pukka registered version.

I wouldn't swear to it theough.

For me manual submission is still the best thing to do. Software might be reliable to do task for you, but you didn't know if the job is accurate or what.

Cryxellis, I think you are missing the point here. The software referred to is NOT autosubmit software, it is autofield filling and list holdiong software. ALL it does is take you to a directory where YOU select the category to submit to, IT completes the fields for you but you MANUALLY hit the submit button. It is ABSOLUTELy no different to using a spreadsheet and copy & pasting the information into the fields.

it is 100% manual
