Default Microsoft sets sights on spyware

Hopes on the way but it may cost you some

Following the takeover of anti-spyware firm Giant, Microsoft said it would soon release a toolkit that strips machines of the irritating programs.

Although initially free, Microsoft has not ruled out charging people who want to keep this toolkit up to date.

I installed it yesterday and first impressions are good.

Anyone with a Hooky Windows OS should no try though.
It runs a "Validation" routine and then asks you to copy tye resulting code into a dialogue box. This is optional, but MS hints all is not as rosy if you don't.

Worked on all PCs but the one with windows 98. I guess it's only good for 2000 or above.

Too bad, as I know that old PC with Win 98 was LOADED with little goodies LOL.
