Default Network problem

Hi,

My problem is the folowing: I have a small network between 2 PC. One is with XP (access the internet) and the other with 98. I made the network between them but it is not working right. The internet is working fine on both of them but the two PC's don't see the other one. I can't see the other computer from Network Neighborhood or from Total Commander or in any other way.

Can somebody help me?

I know that you can't access shares in the same way,
Have you tried pinging one box from the other using it's IP address?

on xp : start > run > cmd

type ping ip

where IP is the 98 box address

Your one step ahead of me, I can't even get the 98 box to see the internet yet my router shows a signal is being received.

You can use from the XP the option "Create home or small office network". You do exactly as the say and it surely works. It worked for me.
