Do you know/use any online backup services? How good/reliable is such a service?

I am interested especially in services that will offer their own application capable of making continous backups (backup files once they are changed or at short period of time)

Not sure what exactly your looking to back up but you could always try Zoho as a free option to start with.

Oh ok. I know what you mean now.

I have heard idrive are pretty smart but I usually back up to a spare server I have.

I dedicate that server to back ups which has nothing but back ups on it.

That way I know everything is secure and in hand if I need it.

Indeed, this is a very good solution.
Do you use any special software for this or you use the default backup solution offered by your OS?

Nope, I just use the default backup system in my control panel.

It's worked every time and never had an issue.

I assume this is for Windows?

If you're on Linux you could just use Rsync.
