Top Yahoo shareholders may support Microsoft

It is unlikely that Microsoft would increase its bid for Yahoo becuse most of the institutional investor in Microsoft, also own shares in Yahoo for example,

According to RiskMetrics, 90 percent of all Yahoo institutional investors also own shares in Microsoft.
Yahoo's largest investor, Capital Group's Capital Research Global Investors and Capital World Investors, managed 523.6 million shares of Microsoft, compared with 154.8 million shares of Yahoo, as of December 31.

It is being floated that some of this institutional investors could support Microsoft bid for Yahoo.
