3.0 Shop Setup

In order to complete the shop configuration you must login to the Administration site (see p2.3).


The Control Panel (CP) has 3 main sections. The first is the drop-down navigation menu which is categorized and sorted. The Second section is the visual Control panel. After this graphical interface you may find the latest news about Boss Cart driven through XML.

Shop main page setting
The content of the main page can be separated into two parts. Above you may find an introduction “greeting text” which can be edited at the backend selecting the “Main page content” sub option in the header Content menu. As default wsywyg editor you will be able to use the fckeditor in order to modify the text. Once you are done with it, click on the save icon and it will apply immediately.
Below the main page greeting you can make the featured products display. At the front page of the administrator panel please select the “Front Page Manager” option among the graphical icons. Here you may find a lot of options which help you to customize and filter the displayed products.


3.1 Base Configurating

See it on CP or in the menu Shopping Cart >> Basic Configuration.

The Shop Base configuration has many sub options displayed on different tabs. These are the „Global”, „Path & URL”, „Site”, „Shipping”, „Checkout” and „Downloads”. All titles have a short complete explanation. After any modification on this configuration menu, just click the „SAVE” button and the new settings will be applied.



Sub-menus:
Global: controls the fundamental settings about your shop.
Path & URL: changing the Shop path and URL properties.
Site: 2 submenus
Display: changes site displaying (data, information elements)
Layout: changes site colors and elements
Shipping: changes shipping method (can use the downloadable products)
Checkout: chooses the method of store’s checkout process
Downloads: setting up the downloads properties
