bagi

trying to configure paypal, when i put in my paypal address it does not save the info, this is confirmed when i checkout and go to paypal, says merchant account not know.

i have checked the permisions of index2 and they are 664

please help

I think the problem is not with the permission of index2.php but with the administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/payment/ps_paypal.cfg.php. This file stores the configuration information and need to be writeable by the script so you need to chmod 755.

Bagi,

I have given this folder the correct permissions, but i need to set it to 777 to work with my server. it says change sucsessfull in ftp, but always reverts back to 775 wich does not work?

I am sorry but this depends on server settings, there is nothing i could do for you concerning this issue.
