404 errors from front page
Hi,
I'm all installed and everything seems to be working, only I get 404 errors when trying to click any of the links on the front page! can anyone offer any help?

Hello Tom, please make sure that you have renamed the .htaccess.txt file to .htaccess, deleting the file extension. If it won't solve your problem, please ensure that the hosting provider enable the mod rewrite apache module.

It is possible that with your ftp client you can't see the hidden remote files. For instance the winscp surly will make it display. Other solution could be to rename the file in your installation pack and upload it to the server.

Tom, I see the problem, but currently I can not do anything. In about 8 hours I will get home, so if you can send me the details I would check the php info details. Do you have any idea if the hosting provider enabled the mod_rewrite apache module?
If they did it, maybe adding this line after the RewriteEngine on in the htaccess code would solve the problem.

I entered the line of code onto the htaccess file and now my website doesn't want to load at all! Could you install the blasted thing for me?
