yes 1.1 it seems ok on my local host apache

As far as it seems on your server there is no apache webserverm but a windows instead, which make the script less optimal

Yes your right I was intending to build the site on my local machine using apache and at the same time make the changes on my live site I was trying to build an onlin book shop myself but soon realised being self taught in php and MYSQL this was going to take me a long time so now I will try this way. I have a domain barrysbargainbooks and web space that supports both php and mysql my own computer is running xp pro. Am I on the right line or not?

Hi again its nice of you to take the time as you can tell ive been at this for a long while but now I can see a light at the end of the tunel.

This is what i got on my live site on my apache local host started the setup no problem.

I'm sorry to say but I see no php error message only the path of the file. There must be some function warning or anything. This didn't help me.

Ahh I see. Though I am not sure that this problem occured on a webserver or at the localhost, please make sure that the version.php file exist in the includes version, if it exists please make sure that the script has enough permission to read it (chmod).
