How to edit certain parts on text

This seems silly, and is probable simple, but how do you edit the main text on the front page? you know the welcome to jv demo site

at the main menu, at the top, click content.
then go down one, and click main page content.

OK... but what happens when you cant access the file. For some reason, after opening the file, it is now locked and I have figured everywhich way but loose to get into the file, get it unpublished, etc.

Does anyone know how to unpublish the file?

Bagi...Its not so much removing the text from the main page, but to adeit it so I can put a few words about who/what the business is all about.

I also want to be able to add some of the Pay By Click banners, etc. How do I install them throughout the website?

David if you would like to add for instance an about page you will need to select the content>>static content manager and you may add as many new page as you wish.
If you would like to add a third-party ads eg. a banner I suggest you to open the main template file with the template editor and insert the necessary code in accordance with your personal preferencies.

My first problem though, is editing the home page. At the moment when someone enters my url, they get a welcome to the Boss Cart JV Demo and goes on to tell about he demo. But as the home page, I'd like to tell them something about Australian Online Shopping Mall. But when I go to Main Page Contents Manager to edit main page, the file is padlocked, si I have no way of changing the wording.
I mean, I can edit the return_policy, refund_policy, etc, no prob. I dont think I'd have any trouble adding more pages. But there's two pages I cant get into to edit.
1) The front page
2) Contacts
Both are padlocked.
If I cant edit the front page then it detracts from the whole site.

Regarding inserting banners, etc; you mention to oprn the main template file with a template editor.... I have absolutely no idea which is the main template file. I presume I can use a an editor like Crimson Editor or similar, but its the location of the right file and which section and where these banner codes can be inserted.

Now Boss Cart seems pretty good, but as time as gone on, I'm getting more and more disallusioned. As a newbie, without much understanding of PHP and so on, I got no chance.... and I dont think I'm alone. Having some sort of documentation on Boss Cart might make it a bit easier... but there aint no such item... so people like me have got no show of getting their web site up and running.

David, I understand your problems. The documentation is on the way which will help the script owners to maintain their site. Until this will be released (I hope it will be ready this week) if you let me know the login details of the given site via private message I will help you to solve every problem.
