Default Diggs categories quite limited
I find Diggs categories quite limited giving how popular they are. Is there a way to suggest additional categories or sub categories to them?

I believe there is not.

What you should do is choose one most relevant category and tag your article with appropriate words. This will put it in the most relevant tag cloud category

I find them quite limited, as well, though I don't use them, nor any other services such as StumbleUpon.
