Is adding adsense on a new site which has just started getting visitors a good idea? I heard it has a material impact on peoples willingness and desire to link to you.
Or is there another alternative or better to wait till the traffic increases. Thanks |

It depends, if the sites is obviously just made for Adsense then nobody is going to link to you. However, a lot of people won't put Adsense on till the site is established. This is what some do:
1. Build a site in a niche with great content 2. Email people in the niche asking for a link to your great site, plus other link building 3. Wait, then start adding Adsense |

It would be a good idea to get some ads up. No one knows what they are since your site is new to there's a good chance for clicks.

Wait for some time more,if your site start ranking well on some keywords then it is wise to put google ads as traffic towards your site will become consistent.

It's really better to put some good content on your site before putting ads on it so that you can establish first a good traffic for your site.

I'm a firm believer in adding adverts at the beginning. What happens is that if you build up a bunch of regulars, then add adverts, you can get a bit of a backlash.
Depends where the content is coming from I guess, it's far easy to create a site and get links to it where there are no adverts. |

Then again, if your content is good, people will link to you, ads or not.
