Generally that is true but if its worth it go for it. Domain value is calculated on the following basis:
- Domain Name (apprasal)
- Characters in domain (apprasal - worth more if less)
- Abbreviations & acronym (apprasal - worth more if not)
- Domain easy to remember (apprasal - If its easier to remember value goes up)
- Domain age (older the better)
- Backlinks (Important factor for most)
- PageRank (not as important as it used to be)
- Traffic Rank (If it pulls traffic its good)
- IP Neighbours (If you have bad/illegal sites on the same IP value goes down)
