Monitor prices to increase in April
According to digitimes.com, monitor vendors are planning to increase their average selling prices in order to cover rising quotes for monitor panels in April this year. Widescreen monitor panel quotes are expected to see an average increase of 2-5$.
Monitor vendors are planning to increase their average selling prices to preserve their profit margins. Some vendors seems to have already pre-booked panel shipments all the way to September to prevent being hit by a supply shortage.
