In some ways squidoo is more like myspace or facebook in the fact that there is a community of 'peers' that you interact with. Though unlike these it encourages marketing and the modular system of building a lens is quite impressive with the variety of modules to add. The only drawbacks I can see when compared to Blogger is the inability to use Java or iframes on squidoo, and that you don't directly get the adsense revenue from a lens.
