I need the correct way and directions for using redirects in a particular site. The main question is that how to do redirect on a site which is residing on a Windows server platform. Mainly i want to do redirect for Error 404 means when a page is not found and this is also very good for search engine optimization purpose.

So, any correct way to do it would be highly appreciated.
