I have various questions and wasn't sure where to put them

What files canI edit to change the colors and pictures of the templates? I think the ones provided are nice but the site I am using this cart on already has a theme designed for it and I would like to keep it as close as possible. ( illoked at the tpl file but my computer told me I don't have the program to open them can anyone tell me what program is used to open those?)

Also is there a place where I can edit the layout of the products? befoer i downloded the files I looked at some of the demo shops and one of them showed where the products are listed mufferently then most php carts (most carts starck them one on top of another) in the demo's I saw them listed 3 across - What I was hoping was that I could do 4 across 4 down (each subcategory i have will have 16 products)

How do i get rid of the test category (or any other category I might make and realize I don't want or need?

Under shipping - It won't let me add any new shipping methods nor will it let me edit the current free shipping

What files can I edit to change the layout of the boxes on the left and right - I noticed on the demo cart it shows the categories listed down the side rather then having a drop down menu like currently on my cart.

for payment is there a way to set it up to accept credit cards for processing on a virtual terminal? also I haven't gotten this far yet but might as well ask - when it comes to the order form is it set up to revert to my SSL so that the buyers know their info is safe?

I haven't had a chance to look around completely so I'm sure I will have more and more questions as time passes.
